450ml Spa Leak Sealer

Spa Leak Sealer offers a concentrated formulation to seal minor leaks in hot tubs and spas. You can use it for leaks in either the shell or the internal plumbing system. There is no need to empty the spa, and it acts quickly, usually stopping leaks within 24 hours.

Important Notes:

  • This product is not suitable for repairing leaks in vinyl liner pools.
  • Larger defects require proper plumbing and maintenance.
  • Avoid allowing Leak Sealer to pass through the filtration/filters system.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dosage rate.

Dose Spa Leak Sealer at a rate of 225ml per 2,000 litres of water.

What is Lo-Chlor Leak Sealer?

Lo-Chlor Spa Leak Sealer is a special compound developed to help seal minor cracks and leaks in spas. Lo-Chlor has created an easy way to plug minor leaks.

How does Leak Sealer work?

Leak Sealer has a very high pH (about 12), so when you add it to your pool, it adjusts to the pH of pool water (between 7.0 and 8.0). It no longer functions as a liquid and starts to solidify in the presence of oxygen at the site of the leak. To ensure the best results, follow the instructions below.

  1. Remove all cartridge filters, or for sand filters, select the BYPASS option (if applicable) before dosing the product.
  2. With the pump running, slowly add the required dose of Spa Leak Sealer (see dose rate below) through the skimmer or in front of any other suction intake. Do not run air blowers during the treatment process.
  3. Since Spa Leak Sealer is heavy and will sink to the deepest point, usually below the bottom drain, stir the product back into suspension every 45 minutes while the water circulates.
  4. Leave the water circulating for at least 3 hours. Then check if the leak has stopped (if visible) or check the water level. If the leak has slowed down, continue running the circulation system for another 3 hours.
  5. Once the leak has stopped, turn off the pump and let any residue settle to the bottom of the spa. Remove this residue with a suitable spa vacuum.
  6. Replace the cartridge filters and let the system circulate for 45 minutes. Afterward, remove the cartridges and thoroughly clean them with fresh water to remove any product residue from the filter veins.
  7. After the leak has stopped, fully drain the hot tub/spa and leave it empty for at least 48 hours to allow the product to cure.
